マリンスポーツの中で定番としてあげられるのがカヌーやカヤックです。

 

canoeandカヤックの2種類をよく耳にする思いますが、

 

この2つは区別なく使われることが多いです。

 

業者によって呼び方が違ったりしますが、基本的に下の写真の乗り物のことを指します！

クーラカヌー マングローブ

海と違い風の影響をほとんど受けないのが川で行うのカヌーの特徴です。

 

川は真水と海水の間の汽水域にあり、Mangroveが密集しています。

 

マングローブは風を遮るので初心者やご高齢の方でもご安心ください。

Kula River

クーラ川 マングローブ

全長370メートルの川で、マングローブの面積は1,638ヘクタールもあります。

 

幻の花とも呼ばれている「Lonicera sempervirens」の木や、えんどう豆の大きな実のようなシダ科のモダマが生息しています。

 

他にもジュラシックパークにでてくる、日本で唯一西表島だけでしか見られない珍しい木（サキシマスオウノキ）なども見れます！

クーラの滝

クーラという名前には幸運を呼び込むという意味が込められており、上流に存在するクーラの滝は「幸運の滝」とも呼ばれてます！

 

マングローブに囲まれた細いクーラ川を自分で漕いで進むカヌーはまるで、ジャングルを大冒険しているような気分になれます！

Pinaisara Falls

ピナイサーラの滝

ピナイサーラの滝は沖縄県で最も大きい54mの落差を誇ります。

 

そのため、ピナイサーラの滝はかなり遠くからでも滝を見ることができます。

 

ピナイサーラの「ピナイ」は「髭」、「サーラ」は「下がっている」という意味です。

カヌーとトレッキングで滝上や滝下まで行けるプランがあります！

 

ただ、滝下に行くだけでも傾斜が激しい道になるので体力に自信がない方は注意Make sure to do so.

クーラ マングローブ 持ち物

(1) Towel

水や汗で濡れた身体を拭くタオルは必須です。吸収性の高いタオルを数枚用意しましょう。アクティビティ後用のスポーツタオルやバスタオルもあるとよいでしょう。

 

②帽子

帽子があるとよいでしょう。急な雨が降った時でも帽子があれば防げます。風で飛ばされないように紐のついた帽子がおすすめです。

 

③日焼け止め

西表島の日差しは非常に強いため、日焼け止めは必需品です。

 

④濡れてもいい服装

カヌーは基本的に濡れるので、水着もしくは濡れても良い服装で参加するようにしましょう。

カヌーがひっくり返ったり沈没することはほぼありません！

カヌーはSUPよりも安定した乗り物なので、安心してお楽しみください。

万が一ひっくり返ることが起きたとしても、水難救助員資格を持ったガイドが早急にサポートいたします！

4)カヌーツアーに必要なものは？

濡れても大丈夫な動きやすい服装をご用意ください！

We enjoyed real katan on the beach surrounded by the great nature of Iriomote Island. The experience of working together as a team to collect trash and advance the game while enjoying the view of the mangroves was exceptional. The program was a fusion of environmental protection activities and games, and we had a lot of pictures taken, making it a great memory for us!

A field day on the beach surrounded by the great nature of Iriomote Island! Environmental protection activities were also incorporated in the program, and we were able to learn the importance of protecting the beauty of nature. The beach cleanup on Iriomote Island was impressive, working in the midst of a special landscape of mangroves! It was an experience filled with valuable learning and a sense of fulfillment. In the first classroom lecture, we received detailed explanations about the nature and environmental issues of Iriomote Island, and were able to gain a deep understanding of the island's attractions and challenges. In the beach cleanup that followed, we were able to experience a sense of accomplishment from being able to directly contribute to environmental protection with our own hands, and it also gave us an opportunity to rethink how we deal with nature. Since this was a company trip, it was a good choice because we were able to have a valuable experience that we could not have had just by sightseeing.

The beach sports festival we experienced on Iriomote Island was a program that not only allowed us to truly enjoy ourselves, but also reminded us of the importance of teamwork. Although we participated in the event as a company trip, the competitions held on the beach, an unusual setting, brought everyone back to their childhood and got everyone enthusiastic about the event. In particular, we were able to increase communication with team members with whom we normally have little contact, and we were able to learn about a side of them that we don't see at work. The ingenuity of each competition was wonderful, and everyone felt a sense of unity at the end, with laughter and serious competition. The beautiful scenery of the island was also very relaxing and refreshing!

The program we participated in on our company trip was a great team-building experience. At our company, there is a distance between ordinary employees and executives, and as a result, there is a lack of speed in business decision-making. This program provided a great opportunity to break down the internal rifts by daring to randomly set up team assignments.

I feel that the experience of overcoming challenges as a team in nature has a positive impact on the workplace. I also personally had such a wonderful time that I would like to revisit Iriomote Island!

I had never heard of a game called catan before, but real catan in the pristine Iriomote Island was so powerful that I felt like I was on an adventure! The process of going around the mangroves and rivers was fun, and it was a new kind of activity that allowed us to enjoy nature while planning our strategies. It was a very satisfying experience for both adults and children, as we were able to deepen exchanges among the participants. I was able to discover new charms of Iriomote Island!
