I joined the Iriomotejima Mangrove Canoeing & Yubu Island Tour with my family. It was our first experience of canoeing, but we enjoyed it very much with careful instruction. On the way, we got off the canoe to observe the mangrove and met many creatures, which excited my children. We were able to experience that animals and plants live in various forms in the great nature.
The buffalo car ride to Yubu Island was also a relaxing experience.
I appreciate that the photos from the tour were sent to my phone right away.

The tour guide, Furi, who happens to be from the same hometown as me, was friendly and very helpful, and the tour was a lot of fun!
We were divided into canoe and sap groups of 4 parents and 4 children, and the guide was very attentive to us, which was great!
It was also helpful to have an introduction to a lunch place after the morning activities were over!
The sanshin (three-stringed guitar) while riding the buffalo was also very nice!
At the end of the plan, he told us a lot about Iriomote Island and we enjoyed the plan to the fullest!

Three parents and their children participated in this tour in early January. The weather was a little disappointing, cloudy and sometimes drizzling, but in general we had a very good experience and were very satisfied with the tour.
It was my first time canoeing, but the guide gave us a detailed lecture (we were knee-deep in the river at the deepest point), and both parents and children enjoyed the trekking very much.
After lunch, we crossed to Yubu Island, where we had about an hour of free time to enjoy a leisurely tour of the island, including places we had not been able to visit before. The buffalo cart is always a good thing, no matter how many times you ride it.
On the boat ride home, my child kept smiling and saying, "That was fun," so I am really glad we participated. Thank you very much!

The weather was clear and scenic for December, making for a wonderful tour. Lunch was a little busy, but we saw a saxifrage tree, crested serpent eagles, and got to go to Yubu Island, which the kids wanted, so we were very lucky and had a lot of fun!

It was so cold that I wished I had worn a thicker jacket. Kayaking was fun and taking pictures in front of the waterfall was very satisfying, but it was too cold and windy to take a leisurely tour of Yubu Island in the afternoon. They say there is a Christmas cold wave in the Japanese archipelago, but I was under the mistaken impression that Iriomote Island would be all right. When we had dinner, a local person told us that it was the temperature of February. I recommend you to prepare for the cold weather.

Yubu Island was raining hard due to a storm, but the mangrove tour was great weather and we had a great time. We saw a lot of crabs and did some trekking. It was fun to hear many stories during the trip!

The weather forecast called for a rainstorm. The buffalo cart on Yubu Island was cancelled due to strong winds, but the kayak was protected by the mangrove forest and we were able to enjoy the trip without being affected by the winds!
As an alternative to Yubu Island, which was closed due to bad weather, we were able to experience the limestone caves, and had a truly wonderful experience with mysterious scenery and adventure! The guides were both fun and took a lot of pictures for us!
Next time I come to Iriomote Island again, I want to join various tours.
