I'm Kimura, a local guide and writer for ADVENTURE PiPi.

Originally from Chiba Prefecture, I visited Okinawa’s outlying islands many times while traveling. As I did so, I became captivated by the beautiful emerald-green sea, the majestic natural scenery, and the warmth of the islanders, which led me to begin working in the outlying islands of Okinawa.

Currently, as a staff member at ADVENTURE PiPi, I guide guests daily through the great outdoors of Okinawa—including Ishigaki Island, Miyako Island, and Iriomote Island—through activities such as canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and snorkeling.

As a local guide who is in daily contact with the ocean and nature, I strive to share authentic, firsthand information—such as how the ocean changes with the seasons, the best spots to visit at each time of year, and how to choose tours that even non-swimmers can enjoy with peace of mind.

The perspective I had as a traveler who longed to visit Okinawa’s outlying islands, and the perspective I have now as a local guide observing those islands.

By drawing on both of these perspectives, we’ll provide clear and truly useful information for first-time visitors to Okinawa’s remote islands.
